February 11, 2015: Early this morning, SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft wrapped up the fifth of its twelve Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) cargo missions to the International Space Station (ISS). Odyssey engineers supported from the Johnson Space Center Mission Control Complex as release and departure from ISS went smoothly, with re-entry following a few hours later. Splashdown occurred at 00:44 GMT, marking the successful end of another re-supply mission. Odyssey’s role in Dragon development was extensive, including Dragon Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) and System Engineering design support, as well as Independent Verification and Validation of all safety critical software.
